While there is no concrete evidence linking earlier clubs to PSMS, it is clear that these organizations played a crucial role in laying the foundation for the birth of this iconic football club.
The birth of PSMS Medan can be attributed to six key figures who represented different amateur clubs in Medan in 1950. These individuals, including Adinegoro, Madja Purba, Sulaiman Siregar, TM Harris, dr Pierngadi, and P.S.Masjkur Rahman were instrumental in shaping the identity and legacy of PSMS. Their dedication and passion for football set the stage for what would become a powerhouse in Indonesian football.
